Hymn to Norwegian men

I guess I have to make up for having been too harsh to norwegian men. Last saturday, they showed their real qualities, and manhood. Fathers were pulling sledges with their babies on cross-country-skis, and one even had his little daughter on his shoulders (with her skis on) while going down-hill. Another one waited patiently until his quite slow girlfriend had caught up with him. They were even overtaking me in a nice and polite way, without making me fall. Great. Noble men. On skis definitely :-D Good that there is no "beer sale" out in the countryside!!!!

Yes, my first cross-country trip in 2007 and alone, was quite a success. Only one dramatic fall - but I missed my usual company... Where was Team Atomic and Team Rossignol?!?! I'm telling you, we have to reopen the competition, my skills have improved quite a bit, and I feel Team Atomic might make it this time :-) Definitely in the discipline of ost spectacular falls!!!!

Some impressions from Donata's birthday and move-in party:

But first of all the food that Donata prepared - amazing!!!! And the traditional cake that she brought all the way from Lithuania (it looks a but like a chemical experiment we once did in school, but it tasted really good :-))

Welcome 2007 !!!!!!!

As always, the last week of the old year passed far too quickly... But what do they say: the quicker time passes, the happier it has been... I am pretty sure I agree :-)
It was very happy days together with my family, making 3rd place in the Go-Kart competition (out of 4, ok, but at least before Jens :-D!!!), winning a Gold Medal in the second Go-Kart Competition (ok, out of 3 girls, where almost all the other male participants (unfortunately including Jens) were passing me by), going out and drinking so much Ouzo that I even nearly forgot how we actually got home and whom I got with, playing Badminton (unfortunately losing there, too), long evenings of Prison Break, relaxing hours reading a great book, or just hanging out wih my friends chatting about the good old times, looking forward to the same procedure as last year, and as every year:
Spending New Year's Eve with the same bunch of friends as it has been for years :-) Well, this time including Jens and my brother! And this year was also the first time that we had so many rockets,we could have supplied whole Erlangen with it! (At least whole of Großenbuch!) It took us over an hour to fire up all sorts of things in the air, or along the street, buring neighbours bushes - and we still have equipment for next year!!!!
