Army Camp II

Last week, I voluntarily got my ass beaten up - well, a little. I did some kicking myself as well ;-) Not enough for Gold, though, but Silver Medal it was :-)
It was really a cool experience! And it is true what people say: The pain comes only afterwards. I didn't even feel that I twisted my toe and got my nose punched... Thank you adrenalin.
Here are some pics of my day as... well, with all that armour, I felt a bit like Robocop, at least the "movement-radius" was very similar.

and here is me with the best coach: Annette

ES SCHNEIT! (There is something white coming down from the sky!)

Things you definitely should remember when you move in a new flat...

Autumn is the time when it is getting darker up here in the north and the nights are starting sooner. I realized that when I came home in the late afternoon today and the light didn't work. No bi deal, I thought, I have figured out how to turn the electricity on before. Yet, it stunned me a little that NONE of the lights in our flat were working. So I decided to go on a quest to the basement and check for a common electricity box with switches to all the flats. Indeed, I found it. What I also found was a tape over one of the switches reading "this switch has been shut down due to missing customer data". Haha, I thought, one of our neighbours hasn't paid his bill and now they shut his electricity off, just like in the movies... Until I figured out, after some more detailed observation, that the taped switch was actually the switch to our flat. And then it struck me: I couldn't remember having signed any electricity contract when moving in... And yes, I had kind of wondered why we hadn't received any bills so far for the last months, but that had been more of a subconscious, far distant wondering...
At least the Norwegian electricity company has really nice women working in their call center, and so the electricity was back on after some minutes on the phone.
But I will definitely write "FIND ELECTRICITY SUPPLIER" on my to-do list, the next time I move.
