A weekend in Hemsedal
oder "Wie der versuch meine deutschen Freunde zu Langlaufenthusiasten zu machen kläglich gescheitert ist"
To make a long weekend short - we had a really great and relaxing time in Hemsedal. Ok, I know that Natascha would object at this point, as she would never agree that the two hours which I dragged them through norwegian snowy landscape, on cross-country skis (!), were relaxing... And on the first day, Marvin didn't really agree either - anyway, I found it very beautiful, and amusing to watch my friends fight their way through the sno, disputing with the sticks and having to cope with far too long and thin skis (without "Kanten") -oh my God:-) It somehow reminded me of my first day of cross-country, where a crazy Austrian cross-country enthusiast and an even crazier German new-born cross country enthusiast, dragged me for 20 km (!!!!!!) through and up- and downhill norwegian winter forest, where I fell a thousand times (in the end caused by pure exhaustion), where my skis went back down the hill without me and where I nearly peed in my pants when i had to go down that steep hill(s)... and the only support I got for my efforts was "Solange sie noch schimpfen und meckern kann gehts ihr gut."
At least I was nice, and my friends only had to keep their spirits up for 8 km. Damn, I'm too kind...
The rest of our activities, however, was VERY relaxing: Sauna, Shower, Sauna, Shower, Sauna, Shower, Eating, Drinking, Poker, Sauna, Snow, Sauna, Snow, Eating, Drinking, Poker, ...
