Army Camp...

... or what it must be like.

Another interesting experience in the land of the tough people ;-)
yesterday, I've been to "gradering". With this I mean, that I attended the kickboxing examination that you need to undertake in order to obtain the yellow belt. yes, for those of you who might have guessed already, I am now prowd owner of my first and fantastic belt in kickboxing: The Yellow One. Only about 8 to go to get to black! ;-)
Anyway, this was definitely one of the physically and psychologically hardest examinations I ever had to take. And now I know why I never signed up for army and for sure never will. The only thing I could think of after one hour of physical exercise and yelling at us "soft-eggs" (and still one-and-a-half-hours to go) and what this would be comparable with was: DRILL INSTRUCTOR.
After half the time I thought I'd break down soon, but fortunately, thanks to the repetitive exercises you get into some sort of trance (even though I never really liked techno) and this makes you almsot forget about the soaring pain in your ass-, leg-, arm- and whatever else muscles in your body. Not to mention that the almost healed blisters on my feet began to open...
Surprisingly enough my legs managed to follow the orders of my brain even after 2 hours of torture and I was still standing at the end :-)this belt definitely is well deserved! I am not sure, though, that any more are going to follow. Today, I can hardly walk and there is not a single part in my body that does not hurt. Well, my nose and ears feel quite alright though...

Now I am very much looking forward to some relaxing days at home under the good care of my parents :-) Just relaxing and forgetting about this traumatic experience...

See you soon guys :-)
